Mrs Massey was in a bit of a pickle. She used to work as a nurse, but loved to cook so much that she had to give her culinary creations away to friends and family. So, she decided to start selling her delicious delectable's at her local West Country markets. That's when my old boss Adrian and close friend of hers decided to step in and suggest we helped her with an act of kindness. Let's create a brand that will take her passion to the next level!
That's where I came in, she strolled in and poured her heart out on a plate. So I did the same and created her a heart warming design that made her cry with joy. The idea was simple. Take all the utensils that she actually used to make her food, straight from her very own kitchen draws. There were scuffed up pans, ticking timers and hand wound whisks.
She was a jolly lady who's favourite colour was pink. So that's where the logo came from, pink, passionate with a larger than life characterful typeface. The language rhymes, with a touch of humour. From 'bread and butter' when describing invoices to 'saucy season' on Christmas cards.
Needless to say, it didn't take long for her to go from her local farmers market to Fortnum & Masons. She eventually had to scale up and move out of her cosy country kitchen, into an lager converted barn.
Now she resides in her very own delicious diner, serving up a storm for customers that are seeking new and exciting flavours to excite there taste buds.
The rest, they say, is history!
